Steps for Admission

Apply Today

Complete the FREE application for admission online.

No essay or letters of recommendation are required, and the application only takes about 15 minutes!

Send an official copy of your high school transcript to the Admissions Office. A final official transcript is required of transfers and high school students upon graduating.

Note for Transferring College Credits: Those transferring from another institution must submit official transcripts from every institution attended. See our steps for transfer students.

Test Scores or Essay

In general, we require an applicant’s SAT, ACT, or CLT score and ask that it be forwarded to us whether as part of an applicant’s transcript or straight from the testing agency. Those submitting a test can request that the testing agency sends the score to us:

TESTING OPTIONAL FOR FALL 2022 AND FALL 2023: Due to the recent disruptions to standardized testing, Franciscan University has elected to become test optional for new students.

In lieu of the test requirement, Franciscan University will allow students applying for admission in Fall 2022 and Fall 2023 who are unable to take a standardized test to substitute a brief essay on the Mission of Franciscan University.

The essay can be emailed to admissions@franciscan.edu or to your undergraduate admissions counselor with the subject line: “Undergraduate Admissions Essay.”

  • The essay must be one page, double spaced, Times New Roman 12 point font
  • If you have any questions about the testing requirements policy or require any assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the admissions office at admissions@franciscan.edu or you can contact your admissions counselor directly.
